As Christians we follow Jesus' command to be baptized. Baptism historically has been a confirming witness of one's full commitment and faith in the Lordship of Christ. Baptism, in symbol, acknowledges the death, burial, and resurrection to a new life in the believer. It is the outward sign of an inward work of faith, one of the highest honors of being a Christian.
